WOOSTER, OH — The Wayne Economic Development Council (WEDC) has introduced a new website built from the ground up to make it easier for visitors to find the information they need to support locating or growing their business in the county. Created in collaboration with Golden Shovel Agency, the leading marketing and communications partner dedicated exclusively to economic development, the new site gives WEDC an improved platform for telling their story and offering potential investors a clear picture of what the county has to offer.

The new site was custom designed to make it easy for visitors to find information about available properties, workforce, demographics, and the location advantages that make Wayne County an attractive option for business investment. The site offers developers and business leaders a clear vision of what the city has to offer without requiring them to search multiple sources.

“This is a fresh, updated look for our site, and it makes it easier for visitors to stay connected with WEDC by putting our latest news, upcoming events, and development opportunities front and center,” said Traci Carmony, WEDC Director of Marketing and Development. “Manufacturing is a strength for Wayne County, and this site allows us to highlight that strength while supporting continued growth and investment.”

Golden Shovel Agency worked with WEDC to understand the organization’s needs and create a website that amplifies its strengths while accentuating the abundant benefits of building a business in the region. The new site gives WEDC a professional, accessible online presence that supports the city’s marketing and recruitment efforts.

“Working with Golden Shovel Agency was extremely efficient and we were able to accomplish much of our work through email with only a few meetings needed,” said Carmony. “The Golden Shovel team made the process straightforward and worked with us to bring our ideas for the site to life.”
