Briefings for Business Tackles Property Tax Reform
June 25, 2026
Nearly 200 business, government, education and community leaders joined the Wayne Economic Development Council on June 23 for its latest Briefings for Business (B4B), Let's Talk Property Taxes. The program featured a thoughtful discussion on Ohio's evolving property tax landscape and its potential impact on homeowners, businesses, schools and local governments.
Moderated by Wayne County Auditor Russell Robertson, the expert panel featured State Representative and House Ways & Means Vice Chair David Thomas; Cheryl Subler, Executive Director of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio; Kyle Brooks, Executive Director of the Ohio Township Association; and Paul Imhoff, Director of Governmental Relations for the Buckeye Association of School Administrators. Together, the panel provided valuable insight into current property tax proposals, funding considerations and the potential impacts on communities across Ohio.
The WEDC extends its sincere appreciation to our B4B sponsors, Akron Brass Company, Freeman Building Systems, MCTV, OhioMeansJobs Wayne County, Sayre Hospitality Group, Team NEO/JobsOhio and Wooster Community Hospital for helping make this event possible.
