WEDC Holding Building Futures Manufacturing Nights

The Wayne Economic Development Council recently announced the upcoming Building Futures Manufacturing Nights, designed to inspire high school students and their parents about careers available in today's manufacturing industry. Taking place from 5-8 p.m. on Mondays, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, attendees will have the opportunity to visit manufacturers in both Wooster and Orrville.

With six participating manufacturers, guests can attend one or both nights and visit more than one manufacturer per night. Participating manufacturers include Akron Brass Company, BCI, Buckeye Corrugated, Shaeffler, The Wooster Brush Company, Moog, and The Will-Burt Company.

In an evolving economy, manufacturing has transformed into a high-tech sector that offers numerous opportunities for young people looking to build careers. This event aims to change outdated perceptions of manufacturing. Attendees will see the advanced technologies and facilities that define modern manufacturing.
