Phil serves as the Director of Business Attraction, Retention, and Expansion for the Wayne Economic Development Council, where he works to strengthen Wayne County’s economic ecosystem by building relationships, supporting local businesses and fostering collaborative growth. He is passionate about connecting people, aligning resources, and helping organizations translate vision into action.
Schlabach's background includes more than 30 years of leadership experience at Post Consumer Brands and The J.M. Smucker Company, where he guided cross-functional teams, led strategic initiatives, and helped organizations grow through change. Across every role, his focus has centered on trust, partnership and bringing out the best in people.
A Wayne County resident for more than five decades, Schlabach remains actively involved in community leadership, including long-standing service on the Kidron Volunteer Fire Department Board. He's a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a husband of 35 years to his wife, Lisa, and a proud dad and grandpa. Outside of work, he enjoy golfing, hiking, biking, and spending time in places of natural beauty.
