Your Dollar Goes Farther Here

Wayne County does not yet publish its own cost of living indicators however, it compares favorably with other micropolitan statistical areas in Ohio, especially neighboring Ashland County which uses some data from Wayne to complete its quarterly survey.  Wayne County recently participated in a cost of living study for the 4th quarter of 2007 and will publish those results here when available.

Employers report a generally favorable labor cost advantage of ten to fifteen percent over neighboring counties to the east and north.  Our most recent wages survey can be downloaded here. An updated survey is being conducted in the 1st quarter of 2008.
